A musical and visual meld of New York artists David Last and Sasha Kaline, Konque is a label and an electronic music project that emphasizes its duo’s shared interests in tape music, modern classical, Asian percussion music, dub reggae and ska. Last has released wobbly funk, cinematic leaning ambient, as well as arty dancehall tracks on labels as diverse as Wolf+Lamb and Staubgold, while Kaline’s offbeat tech-funk swing as half of Alka Rex has appeared on labels such as the classic Mille Plateaux, as well as Montreal’s Musique Risquée and Archipel. Both these chameleons of style are accomplished visual and graphic artists, and have begun to further their live sounds with hand-drawn animations that hearken back to Norman Mclaren and the early animated films and computer games of Ivan Maximov.

《 It is the aural sound of 'Theoretically pure anterograde amnesia' a condition where it's impossible to remember new events. 》
— Leyland Kirby.
Jordan Vauvert

My god, what an absolutely incredible Suite. I'll admit, I've struggled to get into Pharoah Sanders due to diving headfirst into some of his most challenging catalogue and that never worked. This is the perfect place to restart. Floating Points is new for me and I can honestly say I've never heard synthesizer music this lush and organic before. the LSO is just perfect. This is one of those albums that any serious music fan needs in their life. The perfect swan song for the great Pharaoh! 5/5 ClassyMusicSnob
